A Sleepy Skeleton

Once upon a time, there was a skeleton named Bones.
Bones just wanted to go to bed and get a good night’s sleep, but it was Halloween, and all the ghouls and ghosts in the land were having a wild party.
The noise was so loud that Bones couldn’t fall asleep no matter how hard he tried.

Bones decided to go in search of peace and quiet.
He wandered through the dark, spooky woods, past haunted houses and over creepy bridges, but the noise followed him wherever he went.
He was about to give up when he stumbled upon a quiet little cemetery on the outskirts of town.

Bones sighed with relief and lay down on a nearby tombstone, eager to finally get some rest.
But just as he was about to close his eyes, he heard a faint knocking sound.
He sat up, wondering who could be making such a racket at this time of night.

To his surprise, he saw a tiny ghost standing at the entrance to the cemetery.
The ghost looked very unhappy and was clutching a pillow.
Bones approached the ghost and asked what was wrong.

“I just want to get some sleep,” the ghost said, “but all the other ghosts are having a party and making too much noise.
I can’t take it anymore.”

Bones nodded sympathetically.
He knew exactly how the ghost felt.
“I understand,” he said.
“I was having the same problem.
Why don’t we find a quiet spot and get some sleep together?”

The ghost smiled gratefully, and the two of them settled down on a nearby grave.
Before long, they were both sound asleep, snuggled up together, finally at peace.

From that night on, Bones and the ghost became good friends.
Every Halloween, they would meet up in the cemetery, seeking refuge from the wild parties of the other ghouls and ghosts.
And they would always have a good night’s sleep, undisturbed and at peace, just the way they liked it.
