A Poem of Daring Ghouls

Daring ghouls on a dark and spooky night,
Roaming through the streets with such delight.
They cackle and they moan,
As they fly and they groan,
Their eerie presence a fearsome sight.

With their tattered robes and bony limbs,
They haunt the houses, windows, and dims.
They knock and they ring,
Making everyone sing,
Songs of terror in their hymns.

Through the graveyards and abandoned halls,
They wander and make the spirit’s calls.
They are the ones who dare
to scare,
And make our hearts beat like drums and balls.

But as the night comes to an end,
And the moonlight begins to bend.
The ghouls disappear,
Until next year,
When they’ll rise again to befriend.

For they are the guardians of Halloween,
The spirits of the night, unseen.
They remind us to embrace
the thrill and the chase
And to never be too clean.
